Abstract

The predominantly extensive way of development of nature management in the South of Russia determines the growth of socio-ecological and economic damage. The authors made an attempt to identify the value equivalent of the destructive socio-economic consequences of unbalanced environmental activities in the South of Russia. In the course of the study, some essential and structural features of determining the equivalent of the cost of socio-ecological and economic damage are considered, the dynamics of costs for environmental protection and the elimination of the consequences of irrational nature management are studied. As a result of the study, similar principles of computational and analytical approaches to the identification of socio-ecological and economic damage have been identified, the leading factors of the prospective socio-economic development of the regions of the South have been identified.
